The Role of the Church

The Role of the Church in a Christian's Life

  • The church, as a reflection of the character of Christ, likewise should mirror the walk of the believer for them to draw upon.
  • Providing praise and worship that glorifies, pleases and points them toward God.
  • Fellowship with other believers, which provides support, understanding and empathy that only other believers in the church can provide.
  • The church nurtures their congregation not only during praise and worship, but also by feeding them in the Word, enabling them to navigate their Christian walks in this fallen world, while also having the knowledge and strength to reach and evangelize to others.
  • Finally, the church supports, builds up and edifies its congregation toward maturity in Christ, meeting them where they are and enabling them to persevere until the end of this age alongside, with and through God, Jesus and the Holy spirit.

Importance of Believer's Gathering Together

Hebrews 10:25: "Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." This verse encourages regular assembly of believers.

Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Gathering together leads to joyous experiences and memorable moments, and God delights in our fellowship.
