Jesus

In all of history, no one's words have had as much of a profound impact as that of Jesus Christ. We have assembled a list of 60 of the most powerful and famous quotes by Jesus from the Gospels. Some versions of the Bible display the words of Jesus printed in red ink to make them easily distinguishable from the rest of the text. These "red letters" or Jesus quotes, are found in the New Testament of the Bible, primarily in the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, which record the life, teachings, and actions of Jesus. The use of red ink for Jesus' words is a way to emphasize their significance and to help readers focus on His teachings and messages.

Jesus's love for humanity is evident in everything He did, said, and revealed to us. Jesus stands alone as the only person to have walked this Earth, leading a completely sinless life. His enduring influence, shaped by His sacrifice, resurrection, and miraculous deeds, forever altered the course of history. His actions and words continue to inspire us daily, urging us to embrace our own challenges, confident that He will walk alongside us, drawing us nearer to Him.

"When we are born into God's family through our faith in Jesus, God gives us the capacity or capability to live as his children." ~ Pedro Okoro

Faith

When you hear the word “faith,” what do you think of? Whether you realize it or not, faith is an essential part of life, not just Christianity. For example, every time you sit down on a chair, you have faith that the chair will hold you. You are trusting that the chair won’t collapse under you. That’s faith – being sure of what you’re hoping for – being certain of what you don’t see or experience yet. The Bible defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Christian faith is centered around and focuses entirely on the figure of Jesus the Christ. It involves both the believers' act of trust, not of any works on their behalf for their faith in the Gospel. Christian faith means placing trust in Jesus, having a personal relationship with Him and receiving forgiveness of sins, for which is the gift of eternal life. It is the means by which believers come to God and put their trust in Him for their salvation and eternal life with Him in Heaven - eternal glory.

Heaven

Heaven is the place where our Savior Jesus sits at the right hand of our Almighty Father God (Colossians 3:1).  Jesus is the foundation of our faith; the chief corner stone (Ephesians 2:20). Our blessed hope is the appearing of Jesus who will redeem us “to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven…” (1 Peter 1:4). That inheritance is an eternal home with God in Heaven. We are joint-heirs with Jesus (Romans 8:17). Isn’t that good news?

"No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency…We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of heaven cannot be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which heaven itself has ordained."

~ George Washington

Hell

"Hell is truth seen too late."

~ Thomas Hobbes

One of the most terrifying truths about hell is that the majority of people will end up there. What’s even more alarming is that many preachers in America no longer address the horrific reality of hell. They argue, “It turns people away,” or “Jesus preached only love.” These are deceptions from the enemy. Satan wants us lulled into complacency with soothing messages that never challenge or convict the heart. How can you share the gospel without mentioning repentance and the reality of hell? Jesus took your hell upon Himself! He saved Christians from God’s righteous wrath and the torment of hell. How dare we downplay this truth!
