Faith & Encouragement

Receiving faith and encouragement from our brothers and sisters in Christ is critical to our walk, in addition to learning what it means to cultivate an intimate relationship with the One who saved us. True biblical faith believes God and takes Him at His Word, no matter what the situation looks like. It’s a courageous, resolute trust in the God who always keeps His promises.

Receiving Encouragement

"Being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised." Romans 4:21

During difficult times, keeping sight of our hope in God becomes crucial. This hope fuels our unwavering faith, reminding us that brighter days are ahead. As we cling to this hope, we can nurture our hearts, encouraging both ourselves and others. By sharing this message of hope, we not only uplift our spirits but also minister to those around us. Together, we can be beacons of hope in our communities, reflecting the joy that comes from unwavering faith.

Unrelenting Faith

"Unwavering faith is certain about what God has promised in His Word. It is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." " Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

Unrelenting and unwavering faith is a firm assurance and conviction that God will do what He has promised, even when circumstances seem to indicate otherwise. Biblical faith is not blind belief, but a confident trust based on who God is and what He has said in His Word.

We know God’s promises extend beyond our individual lives; they echo throughout generations. Our unwavering faith can give us confidence that God remains true to His word. We can reflect on how He has guided and protected His people in the past, reminding ourselves that His love endures forever. As we recognize God’s faithfulness through the ages, we can trust that He will not change His mind about us or our circumstances.

Enduring Trials

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

The heroes in the bible - those ancient heroes of faith trusted God completely, even when what He was asking them to do seemed impossible. They fixed their eyes on the unseen and eternal rather than on temporary circumstances (2 Corinthians 4:18).

As we navigate life, we encounter trials and tribulations. Unwavering faith means having the strength to stand firm during these challenging times. Each hardship we face is an opportunity for growth and deeper faith. We can find comfort in knowing that our struggles have a purpose, and God walks alongside us through every storm. In moments of doubt, we should remind ourselves of the strength that comes from trusting in God, helping us to endure and grow stronger in our faith.

Faith is the bedrock of a Christian’s life. It’s the unwavering trust in God and His promises, even when circumstances seem uncertain or impossible.

Faith Comes From Hearing the Word of God

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17 NKJV) This verse reveals the source of faith—God’s Word. As we read, study, and meditate on Scripture, our faith grows stronger. We learn about God’s character, His faithfulness, and His promises, which bolsters our trust in Him.

The Difference Between Faith and Belief

While faith and belief are closely related, they’re not identical. Belief is mental assent—agreeing that something is true. Faith, but, is taking action based on that belief. It’s trusting God enough to obey Him, even when it’s difficult or doesn’t make sense.

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

Martin Luther King, Jr.
