The Power of Prayer

Prayer invites God's presence, renews emotional strength, activates supernatural healing, comfort the sick and weary soul - it builds a supernatural shield of faith, activating God's Holy protection. Christian prayer is a powerful tool for believers, acting as a form of communication with God and a means to experience His presence and power. It involves expressing love, gratitude, fears, and desires, while acknowledging God's sovereignty. Through prayer, Christians can access God's power to transform lives, change circumstances, find peace, and grow in their faith. Prayer is not just about asking for things; it's a dialogue with God, a way to build a relationship with Him, not only empowering us to live out our earthly lives in the grace and wholeness He desires for us, but even more importantly, to strengthen our relationship with Jesus Christ, drawing ever closer to our Lord and Savior, the King of Kings.

How to Begin Your Prayers

Pray to God the Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ through the power and grace of the Holy Spirit

Jesus Christ, being the Son of God, is our intercessor - He advocates on our behalf before God. It is because of Jesus' act of ultimate love and sacrifice on the cross that we are able to have access to God, as it is due to this power and His resurrection that the veil was torn, symbolizing the veil in God's Tabernacle (Old Testament) and Temple (New Testament) that, before Jesus, was a physical barrier between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies), where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. This separation emphasized God's holiness and the need for reverence, due to human sinfulness. Jesus' death and resurrection tore the veil the moment He was resurrected, paying for our sins and forever redeeming us and sanctifying those who believe in Him and The Gospel.

Types of Prayers

Come to God by thanking Him for those things you're grateful for, through the Lord Jesus Christ, through the grace and power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank Him for answering your prayer and proclaiming it as though He's already answered it, having faith knowing He will, in His timing and understanding you come into agreement with His will for your life.

Ensure you've forgiven others before making your petition before God, as unforgiveness can be a stumbling block to breakthrough prayer.

There are times that some prayers and issues we face as Christians will require fasting, in addition to prayer. Through the fasting experience, you will gain deeper intimacy and transform your spiritual connection with your Heavenly Father.

John Cassian

"I believe that it is impossible to grasp all the different forms of prayer without great purity of heart and soul. There are as many forms of prayer as there are states of soul. A person pays in a certain manner when cheerful and in another when weighed down by sadness or a sense of hopelessness. When one is flourishing spiritually, prayer is different from when one is oppressed by the extent of one's struggles."
